Menopause is a normal part of aging for women and no women can escape it. There are certain symptoms that are associated with menopause, including night sweats, hot flashes, mood swings, depression, joint pain, low sex drive, and weight gain. Recent medical research has revealed that many of the unpleasant symptoms that women associate with the menopause are the result of a standard Western diet. Data shows that one in every two women entering menopause is overweight and at risk for diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. However, if you take certain steps, including some lifestyle changes and change the way you eat, you can effectively manage your weight gain during your menopause.
